My #1 Tip For Jamaica Weddings

This is my number one tip for planning a wedding in Jamaica. Don't do it at 3pm. Seriously. The wind tends to kick up in the Caribbean in the mid afternoon making for some very windblown pictures like this one from my Retie the Knot ceremony:

3:00pm is also right about time that storms tend to roll in when you are in the tropics. So, avoid that 3pm timeslot.

If you are planning a wedding or having honeymoon pictures taken, try doing it about an hour before sunset. The light will be gorgeous and you are much less likely to have weather issues. You'll end up with something like this (although hopefully with another person if you are celebrating a wedding or honeymoon).

Happy planning!
